Wallpaper pictures of "Doctor Doom's Fearfall" in the "Marvel Super Hero Island" section of Islands of Adventure - presented in 4:3 regular and 16:10 widescreen formats!

Towering over the theme park and standing tall at 200 feet, the twin towers of "Doctor Doom's Fearfall" challenge all who are tall enough to challenge its heights.

And after hearing people screaming out in terror as they're shot up to the top of the tower, the ride is still quite intimidating to many people as they stand out on the street and stare up the twin towers, watching in horror as the people are hurdled up to the top at a near record pace.

"Doctor Doom's Fearfall" is an original ride in the park and opened with the rest of Islands of Adventure in 1999.  Along with the "Incredible Hulk Coaster," Doom's ride is also quite visible quite a ways away from the Universal Orlando complex.

"Doctor Doom's Fearfall" also follows the concept that no ride is simple at Disney or Universal, so matter how much of a basic concept it seems.  There is always a story to tell about every single attraction.

The story behind this ride is that Doctor Doom needs to collect human fear and use it to power his weapons and defeat the Fantastic Four.  Once they're gone, the world is his to conquer.  That's where we human "volunteers" come in to play.  We're part of Doom's experiment and he has us sit in special "upward accelerating" seats that are designed to terrify people and for him to gather that much more energy for his quest.  Of course, those seats are the ride and everybody knows what's going to happen once we're secured in place.

The only question is when the exact moment will happen before we're launched into the sky.

If you're up for it, go on "Doctor Doom's Fearfall" at least twice - once in the day and again at night.  The view at the top at night can be outstanding if you're facing the right way.
