Wallpaper pictures of the "Jurassic Park Discovery Center," the central building and activity center in the "Jurassic Park" area of Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando - presented in 4:3 regular and 16:10 widescreen formats!

Standing proudly on the shore of the Inland Sea, the Discovery Center is essentially the central point of "Jurassic Park," just like in the hit movie of the same name.

The Discovery Center's two floors offer everything from a fast food counter-service restaurant to a store (of course!) to a museum and innovating hands-on activities on the lower floor.  When it rains or during the heat of the summer, the Discovery Center is a great way to seek shelter and take a break from the heat.

Entering from the main path in "Jurassic Park," you'll find yourself on the upstairs floor of the building.  A large Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton greets you just like we see in the movie.  Here, we also have "The Burger Digs" on the right side of the building with tables and chairs covering much of the floor.  There are also a few tables outside, offering an excellent elevated view of the lagoon and rest of Islands of Adventure.

Heading down the elevator or taking the stairs, we find the interactive exhibits themed to dinosaurs and the movies.  Kids and their parents can use machines to find skeletons buried beneath a wall of rock, play a dinosaur themed trivia game, listen to roars and snarls of dinosaurs, play with DNA and see how they would have looked as a dinosaur, and even witness a baby Velociraptor hatch from an egg.

Heading out through the lower level doors puts us in the back of the building surrounded by massive palm trees.  Off to the side is the old "Island Skipper Tour" boat dock and paths back to the main walkway.

The "Jurassic Park Discovery Center" has seen little change since the park opened in 1999.  The building still has that feeling of quality when walking around, and most of the exhibits still work as they should.  I'd love to see what kinds of new exhibits that the creative minds at Universal could add to the building with today's technology.

If you have young kids or just love the movie Jurassic Park, the Discovery Center is a must see during your visit to Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure theme park.  Save visiting the building for a second or third lap around the park.  Hit the big rides first before coming back to explore the building.

The regular 4:3 pictures all have a resolution of 1600x1200 (960x1280 for vertical pictures), unless it's otherwise noted.  They can also easily fit monitor resolutions of 1280x960 or even 2133x1600 without needing any special modifications.  Just select the image and have Windows stretch and fit it to the other 4:3 resolution.

The widescreen 16:10 pictures all have a resolution of 1440x900, unless it's otherwise noted.  They can also easily fit a resolution of 2560x1600 without needing any special modifications.  Just select the image and have Windows stretch and fit it to the other 16:10 resolution.

Warning - There will be some slight variations between the regular and widescreen pictures!
