Wallpaper pictures of
the Inland Sea (a.k.a. lagoon) in the middle of the Islands of Adventure theme park - presented in 4:3
regular and 16:10 widescreen formats!What is a theme park without its body of water? Like World Showcase Lagoon in Epcot, the Inland Sea in Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure theme park is a central body of water that helps open the park and add to its scenic value as well as serve an important purpose when it comes to the storage and drainage of the general water supply of the park. In the case of Islands of Adventure, the water itself is a major factor of the theming as the different branches of it divide the parts of the park into the differently themed "islands" and helping to give the park its name and aquatic / exotic theme.
When the park first opened and through 2000, the "Island Skipper Tours" was a water taxi that took passengers across the Inland Sea from "Jurassic Park" to the "Port of Entry" in small and kinda wacky looking boats. The boats' theming was fun as it fit the adventure and exotic theming of "Port of Entry." Unfortunately, the "Island Skipper Tours" had the honor of being one of the first attractions removed from the park.Today, the Inland Sea is seeing expansion as the new "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" island is under construction between "Jurassic Park" and "The Lost Continent." A temporary bridge is in place to help with the flow of traffic until the new island is finished sometime in 2010.

The
regular
4:3 pictures all have a resolution of 1600x1200 (960x1280 for vertical pictures), unless it's otherwise
noted. They can also easily fit monitor resolutions of 1280x960 or
even 2133x1600 without needing any special modifications. Just select
the image and have Windows stretch and fit it to the other 4:3
resolution.The
widescreen
16:10 pictures all have a resolution of 1440x900, unless it's otherwise
noted. They can also easily fit a resolution of 2560x1600 without
needing any special modifications. Just select the image and
have Windows stretch and fit it to the other 16:10 resolution.
Warning - There will be some slight variations between the regular and widescreen pictures!
To
help save bandwidth for the other visitors, please open each picture
only once. If you like it, save it to your hard drive. You can also
right click on the link and select "save as" instead of manually
loading each picture.
