Welcome to the "Widescreen Wallpaper" section of this website!
These wide angle photos are designed to be used as background pictures or even part of photo screen savers for those people out there who have widescreen monitors or just prefer the style of these images. Many of the wallpaper pictures were shot with the main item appearing slightly off-center to the right side to allow room on the left for desktop icons. I am a firm believer that widescreen is part of the future for monitors and television sets. The wider images allow for better use of peripheral vision and feels like there's more in the image rather than in a "standard" 4:3 image. It's just going to be a matter of time until nearly everybody is watching television, communicating with digital images on a cell phone, and using their computer with some kind of a widescreen monitor. As a result, widescreen images will be the majority of pictures available here on this website.If you're more interested in the "standard" 4:3 pictures, please check out my "Photo Safari" section.All of the older widescreen pictures are in the 16:9 format with resolutions in 2560x1440 and 1440x810. These are how my cameras shoot wide angle pictures in their widescreen modes. The newer pictures and most of the future ones are and will be available in a 16:10 format with 2560x1600 and 1440x900 resolutions. The 16:10 format is more commonly used with today's widescreen computer monitors.
NOTE - I will NEVER resort to using a flash picture on a ride or during a show! If I cannot take decent pictures using my own skills and camera's low-light settings, then I won't resort to using a flash. Flash photography ruins the experience of the attraction for everybody and is extremely annoying. I will never lower my standards and shoot pictures that way.
