Hard Rock Cafe Orlando photos
Photos of the current version of the Hard Rock Cafe Orlando at Universal CityWalk.
The Hard Rock Cafe Orlando at Universal CityWalk actually has a longer history with the Universal theme parks than most visitors suspect.
Back in 1991, the Hard Rock Cafe was a part of the original Universal Studios Florida theme park. It was previously located near the E.T. Adventure back where the Curious George Goes To Town playground is located today. Shaped like a giant guitar, the Hard Rock Cafe was technically located outside of the USF theme park. USF had a separate admission gate so park guests could head in and out of the park while visiting the world famous restaurant chain.
The addition of Universal's CityWalk complex moved the Hard Rock Cafe to a new location, this time between Universal Studios Florida and the new Islands of Adventure theme park. Instead of looking like a giant guitar, the newer version now looks like the Roman Coliseum. Still a restaurant, this bigger version of the Hard Rock Cafe Orlando is also home to a theater (called the Hard Rock Live Orlando) capable of hosting some of today's hottest bands. Back in 2000, my brother, friend and I attended a Godsmack concert at the Hard Rock Live Orlando. Cool stuff. :)
