Digital wallpaper photos of the Streets of America area in Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World!

Originally only known as "New York Street" when the Disney-MGM Studios first opened in May of 1989, this area of the park was only visible from the "Backstage Studio Tour" attraction in the early days of the Disney Studios. The shuttle tram would go down the street, turn around, and then exit via a side street. The tour guide would explain how through the use of facades and forced-perspective techniques, the small backlot looked like part of downtown New York City. It wasn't until 1990 when "New York Street" was opened up for park guests to walk around and explore on their own.

Today's version of the Streets of America is host to a variety of attractions and eating areas including "Muppet-Vision 3-D," "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure," "Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show," "Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade," "Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano," and the "Studio Catering Co. Flatbread Grill."

Note - Each picture can be opened in at least one extra size. You may download and share these desktop wallpaper pictures, but please, do not modify or alter them in any way!

These pictures were designed to fit most standard sized monitors. However, just because your specific monitor settings may not be listed doesn't mean that you can't use any of these photos as computer backgrounds. If you have a standard 4:3 monitor, just select the picture size larger than your settings (if possible), and have Windows stretch it to fit the screen. This will shrink the picture and keep it looking sharp instead of stretching and potentially distorting it. Making the vertical pictures fit will take a little extra work, but all you have to do is open it with a paint program (such as MS Paint), and manually resize the picture keeping the same aspect ratio.

To help save bandwidth for the other visitors, please open each picture only once. If you like it, save it to your hard drive. You can also right click on the link and select "save as" instead of manually loading each picture.
