"The Florida Project" is an independent web site that takes a look at the history and development of the Walt Disney World and Universal Studios theme parks and resorts through the use of old brochures, guidemaps and other forms of advertising. In addition to that, a full 16:9 & 16:10 widescreen and 4:3 "regular" resolution photo guide will take a look at the current state of the theme parks and resorts. This web site is owned and maintained by myself, Dan, the webmaster, amateur historian and photographer. Unless it is otherwise noted, all of the photographs were taken by me and copyrighted exclusively for this web site. The photos may be downloaded and re-posted on other web sites and material as long as A) the copyright information for this web site (www.Florida-Project.com) has not been removed, changed, altered, or otherwise modified, and B) there is a link directly back to where the material was found on this web site (www.Florida-Project.com).
Unless it is otherwise noted, I have scanned and uploaded the brochures, advertising fliers, guidebooks and guidemaps from my own personal collection of material. As far as I'm aware, none of the scanned material presented here was made available for purchase in any official Walt Disney World or Universal Studios store. All of this material was distributed for free to the general public in the various theme parks and resorts over the years. My family has religiously collected this material on all of our previous vacations for our own general interests. This web site is my way of thanking the companies responsible for creating and maintaining the Florida theme parks and also for sharing my interests with other people throughout the world.
None of the scanned images are available for sale. They are all 100% free to view and enjoy.
Unless otherwise noted, all of these brochures, advertising fliers, guidebooks and guidemaps are still copyrighted by the Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, and whichever other companies are present on the material. My web site information remains embedded in that material only as a reminder of who was responsible for taking the time to upload the images and share them for free with the rest of the world. The attraction and park logos in the website's banner and other parts of this website were edited from pictures that I personally took in the theme parks.
In essence, this is free positive marketing for Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and the other central Florida theme parks and attractions paid for out of my own pocket. Through the use of people visiting my sponsors and/or offering financial donations, it is my goal to keep this web site operational, updated, and completely free for all my visitors.
Those scanned images mentioned above may also be downloaded and shared on other websites as long as A) my web site information has not been removed, changed, altered, or otherwise modified, and B) there is a link directly back to where the material was found on this web site (www.Florida-Project.com).
